Brother Number 3 Review

Brother Number 3
By Judy Serrano

About the book:

Coming in third place was something that was all too familiar to Hector Montiago. As his strength and grounding personality pushes him into first place with the woman he loves, lines are crossed and sides are chosen.

In the second book of the series, Brother Number Three depicts family ties in a light unequal to any other. Lilly tells the story of how the brothers unite in the effort to recover her missing son, as blood becomes both the indestructible bond that holds them together and the opposing force that pushes them apart. They fight temptation, while the enemies of the Montiago cartel unleash their wrath, only to discover that the true danger lies within.

My Review:

Back in July, I read Judy Serrano’s Easter’s Lilly and loved it!  I have never read a book like Easter’s Lilly.  I was hooked from the beginning!  When the opportunity to read Brother Number 3 came up, I quickly accepted!  Brother Number 3 in the second in the series and picks up where Easter’s Lilly left off.  When I finished reading Easter’s Lilly, I realized that Judy Serrano really knows how to leave us readers hanging and drooling for the next book.  I can say the same about Brother Number 3, Judy Serrano leaves us hanging by a thread.  I am dying [no pun intended] to know what happens next.

Brother Number 3 focuses on Hector and Lilly. Max and Lilly are married while Hector finds himself single.  The roles between the brothers have shifted.  With the shift, Max is always working and it takes a toll on Lilly, so she turns to Hector.  Hector and Lilly grow closer and develop an inappropriate relationship with each other.  They are unable to stay away from each other because they have opened up a can of worms.  They love each other.

When it comes to Lilly, she is the glue that keeps their mob family together.  Even though she is the glue, each brother still loves her but it is up to her to choose which brother she wants to be with.  Which brother can she love and give her whole heart to?  Can she stay faithful?

Brother Number 3 follows Hector’s relationship with Lilly and how they deal with Max.  I can’t make sense of Lilly’s choices throughout the book, but she seems to like the attention and drama from the brothers.  She chooses the brother that is around at the time.  Lilly didn’t grow up in the mob, but she is able to adapt and work with the situation she is thrown into.

I was rooting for Max and Lilly to make it work.  They had a strong relationship in Easter’s Lilly and I hope no one else can get between them.

Brother Number 3 is a page turner and a book you will not want to put down.  I read this book in one weekend.  If you are looking for drama, romance, suspense, and chaos, you will love Brother Number 3!  Brother Number 3 focuses on the Montiago family who happen to be in the mob business.

Brother Number 3 can be purchased on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
